This isn’t going to help you with that LaFerrari Aperta they denied you before.

they got away with it... but fuck me those team orders could have lost them the race (i mean.. i understand the orders from a championship point of view.... but purely for this race kimi should have had it)

lucky verstappen had a brain fart as the redbulls had the pace to be a real thorn in everyones sides this race

also hammy won a lot of points with me for giving that place back

Yeah Hamilton also won some points with me.

On team orders at Ferrari, they just didn’t have the balls to do it, because lets face it Vettal is, as much a primadona, as Hamilton and they didn’t want to give the order to not upset him(it is entirely other topic if Vettel would have listened). I am absolutely certain that they were ready to loose the race, but not let Kimi in front.

As a Kimi fan and not a particularly big Ferrari fan, I am not sure if he needs to stay, if he would be treated like such a distant second, but we all saw what is the resposnse from fans when Kimi was to start its post-race interview, so it would be treat if he stays.

Hamilton got close but never close enough; I was hoping for a much more interesting battle between the top four. I’m also glad he gave the spot back, saving us a full summer break of stupid articles, analyses and comments about how he was right or wrong about his decision to keep the place.

I was happy to see both McLarens in the points - this is the most cheerful I’ve seen Alonso (in F1) in a long time.

tbh its good to see kimi is not happy about being the second driver (was a little worried the old dog lost his appetite) but im surprised at how set in stone those team orders are at ferrari... anything short of vettel not finishing and kimi has to stay behind it looks like

and for what its worth.. scuttlebut round here is kimi will get at least one more season (hope its true... ill miss the grumpy old fart when he goes)

It would be interesting to see what McHonda do in the break, because after that we have two very fast tracks and than two tracks that can somewhat do something, the rest of calendar is not so much in their favor if they don’t progress now.

It would have been a shitshow if Hamilton didn’t gave the place back and it was very funny that Davidson and Crofty didn’t say anything about how HAM shpuld give the place back, but the Sky Sports bias is somewhat to be expected.

Definitely could’ve gone sideways, but if they’d let Kimi by, seems like Hamilton would’ve been able to make the pass happen on Seb. So instead of 1-3, they got the 1-2 finish for the team and also padded Vettel’s lead. A gamble, for sure, but it paid off.
